Story Line
Midsommar follows Dani, a grieving young woman shattered by family tragedy, who joins her distant boyfriend Christian and his friends on a trip to a remote Swedish village for a rare midsummer festival. What begins as a serene cultural celebration soon turns unsettling as the community’s rituals grow increasingly strange and violent under the endless daylight. As Dani struggles with grief and emotional dependence, she is gradually drawn into the commune’s beliefs, where loss, belonging, and sacrifice intertwine in disturbing ways. The film culminates in a shocking ritual that forces Dani to confront love, trauma, and rebirth within a cult.
