Weapons (2025) is a supernatural horror, mystery, and thriller film written and directed by Zach Cregger. Starring Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan, the movie presents a chilling mystery that unfolds in a quiet community after a series of unexplained events leaves residents frightened and searching for answers.
The story begins when seventeen children from the same classroom mysteriously disappear on the same night at exactly 2:17 a.m. Only one child remains, leaving parents, teachers, and the entire community struggling to understand what happened. The unusual circumstances surrounding the disappearances create an atmosphere of fear, confusion, and suspicion, as everyone begins to question whether the incident was simply a coincidence or something far more disturbing.
Julia Garner plays Justine Gandy, an elementary school teacher whose life changes dramatically when the children in her class vanish. As the investigation begins, Justine finds herself under suspicion, and the pressure from worried parents makes an already difficult situation even more complicated. With no clear explanation for the children’s disappearance, she must deal with growing uncertainty while trying to understand the mystery surrounding her students.
