Story Line
Glory, set during the American Civil War, a young white officer leads the 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment, one of the first all-Black units in the Union Army. The story follows their struggle against racism, harsh conditions, and doubt from within and outside the army. As they train and fight for respect, bravery grows among the soldiers. Key performances by Matthew Broderick Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman highlight sacrifice, courage, and unity. The film portrays their heroic final assault on Fort Wagner, emphasizing honor and equality in the face of overwhelming adversity and injustice and sacrifice always endures.
